How to Integrate Adyen Gateway with Checkout ChampThis guide walks you through connecting your Checkout Champ account to your Adyen gateway.
Log in to your Checkout Champ Admin account: app.checkoutchamp.com
Navigate to CRM → Gateways → Gateway Integrations.
Locate Adyen v2 (Apple Pay & Google Pay).
Click + Activate.
The Create New Gateway page will open.
Leave this page open — you’ll return to it after gathering credentials from Adyen. Open the Checkout Champ Knowledge Base article for Adyen in a separate tab (you’ll copy a webhook URL from it later).
Log in to your Adyen Customer Area.
Navigate to Developers → API Credentials.
You should see an existing API credential configuration. Open it to edit.
Best results occur when all roles are checked.
Scroll to the bottom of the API credential page.
Under Roles, enable every available role.
Click Save Changes.
Scroll back to the top after saving.
Generate an API Key if one is not already present.
Checkout Champ may occasionally reject API keys containing certain special characters. If the gateway fails to save or authenticate, generate a new API key and try again until it saves successfully.
Copy the API Key — you’ll paste this into Checkout Champ shortly.
In Adyen, go to Developers → API URLs.
Locate your Live API URL Prefix.
Copy this value exactly.
This will be used in the Checkout Champ gateway setup.
In Adyen, navigate to Developers → Webhooks.
Click + Create Webhook.
Choose Standard Webhook.
Fill in the webhook settings as follows:
JSONTLS 1.2Select only the following events:
Click Save Configuration.
While still on the webhook page, go to Security.
Generate a new HMAC Key.
Copy the HMAC key.
You’ll paste this into the HMAC Key field in Checkout Champ.
In Adyen, go to Settings → Transaction Description.
Select Merchant Account as the dynamic value.
Set the descriptor value as desired. This controls what appears on customer bank statements.
Copy this value.
Paste it into the Descriptor field in the Checkout Champ Adyen gateway setup.
Return to the Create New Gateway page in Checkout Champ and fill in the required fields:
Double-check all values carefully. Click Create Gateway once complete.
In Checkout Champ, go to CRM → Campaigns.
Open a campaign you want to use Adyen with.
Navigate to Offers → Options → Batch Update.
Under General Settings, set Gateway Account to your new Adyen gateway.
Save changes.
Run a test card through one of the products in that campaign.
If the transaction processes successfully, the integration is complete.
You can now begin running live transactions.
You’ve successfully integrated Adyen with Checkout Champ. If you encounter any issues, contact your Checkout Champ Account Manager, reach out to your Compaytence representative, or book a call directly through Compaytence.com.
If anything in the gateway setup does not behave the way this guide describes, reach your Compaytence representative before you switch to live mode.
